You have NO idea how much I ranted when that was announced.
I got pretty incoherent for a while(the fact that I stay up way the hell too late might've had something to do with that too...).

Of course, it didn't hurt that I was one of the 'tards that got hyped over the "Parasite Eve: Rebirth" trademark registration.
(Anyone else remember that? Back when a trademark filing was newsworthy? That was the first Gaystation Portable news too, if I recall. Don't think things have been that slow for a while now.)

So it may be irrational, but it feels like they've jerked the rug out from under me a few times now.

At least I liked Chrono Cross and FF9, so I'm not TOTALLY angry and bitter.

What's the point of redesigning a relatively simple game just to give it to consoles with too much power to throw around? Might as well just ask for bigger breast implants and gain nothing unless you enjoy that.

The DS is more than sufficient for what is needed to be done.

It doesn't quite explain why the crappy portable brick gets a port of FF1 with hires textures, but FF3 (NES) and FF4 have DS ports. It probably says more of what Squarenix thinks of the overrated Sony block or.. it's just that inferior.

I'm actually happy with my slim block. Now that it's not absurdly overpriced and overweight and actually has some decent games out, it's not the detestable thing it used to be.

It's had decent games out for years, it's just that no one ever bothers to point them out because they're usually ports.

According to that page, it is a direct port. But please, prove me wrong, because if it is not a direct port and instead a full remake, with enw graphics, sound etc, in a way that makes for a BETTER version of Chrono Trigger, I would absolutely love to purchase a copy.
