Wii Firmware Update 3.4: effects unknown to homebrewn

and noticed a huge list of cosmetic changes and so on. Well, assuming one already has the Homerewn channel, it has been said that it "won't affect anything homebrewn". See, I have said channel installed (along with emulators, music players, etc) but I'm still weary; I don't want to lose the ability to use homebrew. Has anyone else downloaded this update/can confirm if is still works (assuming it's been installed before)? Also, places like www.wiibrew.org has a huge warning banner against downloading until its effects are known. Am I safe to get it?

If it's been said that homebrew won't be affected, then you shouldn't need to worry; just install the damn update, man.

That said, if your wii is working fine anyway, why bother updating?

Alright, I D/Led it and it works fine; so, there's nothing to worry about. I wrongly assumed that it would do something adverse, as there have been people who had their wiis rendered unusable. But that only applies to those who either use WADs and/or have modchips.
