Topics appropriate in "bsnes General Discussion"?
I have noticed that a lot of topics not strictly related to the development of bsnes (such as technical support questions and the discussion about 3D rendering of a SNES controller) end up in the "bsnes Dev Talk" forum, while the actual "bsnes General Discussion" forum just gets miscellaneous stupidity. What should we do about this?
EDIT: The forum somehow cut off my thread title. I meant What topics are appropriate for "bsnes General Discussion"? Let's try this again.

Amputation tends to do that.
Besides, we can unlock what has been considered locked without enough reason.
For issues regarding power abuse, I leave the judgement to byuu, considering the forum applies to his program(s). Responsibility of his moderators is only natural.

<jmr> bsnes has the most accurate wiki page but it takes forever to load (or something)

And what's funny about MOVE FITZS THREADS TO GEN. NONSENSE (even both take potshots at fitz threads) ended up being locked anyway
so I smell inconsistency, hypocrisy, or something, can't exactly put my finger on what.

<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

My point was not so much about the nonsense in "bsnes General Discussion" as about the general discussion in "bsnes Dev Talk."
BTW, thank you for editing my thread title. My stupid insistence on a complete sentence was at fault here. Why isn't the forum properly configured to limit the number of characters you can type in the subject box?

It is:
Code: Select all
<input type="text" name="subject" size="45" maxlength="60" style="width:450px" tabindex="2" class="post" value="" />
Only it would require something like javascript to count the length of characters like double quotes, which get converted to HTML entities such as ".
