Yeah, I've seen this (I didn't even need to click the link, I'm such an admirable guy). They've got a good artist, and I think I can safely say that this is the most interesting MUGEN project ever.

Wow, this is the first mugen thing ever that actually looks interesting to me at all. BoF2 Nina? ZOMG.
What's mugen like? Does it use hardware for a smooth vsynced 60fps, or is it one of those jerky, screen tearing software messes that I still see on the internet to this day?

I don't know why but this reminded me of a project called Mortal Kombat: Blood Storm, presumably made in MUGEN.
It was never released though but it looked awesome

I used to be heavy into MUGEN and collected countless fighter characters for a Capcom vs SNK style game. It actually played quite well.
For those that haven't yet and love classic 2D fighters, you should look into the MUGEN community. There's some amazing stuff out there.

I called this almost 7 years ago.Joe Camacho wrote:So I'm browsing their site, they plan to release a beta with X, Cloud, Link and Kos-Mos eventually, and keep adding characters.
This is the first MUGEN game I would actually play.

Well, the difference with that and this game is that it doesn't make your eyes bleed.grinvader wrote:I called this almost 7 years ago.Joe Camacho wrote:So I'm browsing their site, they plan to release a beta with X, Cloud, Link and Kos-Mos eventually, and keep adding characters.

And I assume the should also pay royalities to all thos fanfic authors.
I still don't understand the point of these cards, they are like, a collection or something? A game? the site isn't very clear.

Think of it this way: it liberally "borrows" the main element from SNK vs Capcom - Card Fighters Clash. The only fickle reason being "because having cards is cool".
Or something.
Or something.
