Laptop Suggestions?

Post by Panzer88 »

I am looking to buy a new laptop in the $700 to $900 price range. I doesn't have to be state of the art but I want it to have an Nvidia or ATI graphics card as apposed to an integrated intel chip. Also looking at something that was manufactured post Windows 7 launch and most likely a Core i3 or Core i5 processor but I'm open to suggestions.

Basically anything you guys think is the best deal for the money, let me know. I have to purchase it fairly soon because my dad is buying my current one to use when he is visiting my dying aunt.

Thanks for the help!

NVidia has some interesting/decent power switching tech... as far as I know anyways.

Anything is better than Intel's graphics anyways... most of the time.

I decided to fork out a little extra and get this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834152191

2.26 GHz i5 Processor
4 GB of DDR3 Ram
ATI Radeon 5850 w/ 1 GB of DDR5 Ram
500GB HDD @7200rpm
1680 x 1050 native resolution
15.4 inch screen
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
9 cell lithium ion battery

still waiting for it to arrive but overall I'm happy with the specs and price.
