Whenever I play the emulator the save doesn't work

Whenever I open my emulator ZSNES and I play a game it works perfectly and if I save it, it works perfectly and load it (without closing emulator) it loads fine, but then when I close the emulator and open it back up I try and load it and all it says is (UNABLE TO LOAD) I don't understand it, when i try and play a game again i have to start completely over and I'm sick of it please help.

yes i know how to get to the save direct property but i don't know what i'm supposed to enter in each box...

Just a suggestion, but you could try reading the documentation (also known as a User Manual) that comes with ZSNES.
