Some cheat help please..

I have looked over the forum and can't seem to find my exact problem. I am trying to get some codes for "The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past" I am useing emulator ZSNES v1.51. Ok I put in the code and they saved just find but when I get into the game they do not work. I have looked all over the web and have found that there is only one version of the ROM (that I can find and I looked for over an hour) Not sure why they are not working but I will leave a list of the codes I am trying to use along with the reversion of the game I have. "The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past" reversion 1.0.

A lot of those codes probably require you to reset the game and/or start a new game.

I have all ready read that link and I restarted the game as it says to do and even made a new game did not work as for the version of the game I covered that in my first post so don't know what else I can do there.

You haven't posted the NSRT info, so I can verify this.

I tested the infinate energy code. It works. It sounds like one of two things occured.

1) You have a different region of the game.

2) You forgot the "-" when entering in the Game Genie codes.

Well, have you gotten the infinite life code to work? I didn't have any problems with that.

This one seems to work Hearts restore full energy: but the rest don't seem to work. I have used all these codes before. So I don't know whats going on now. It might have been a diff ROM but if it is I don't know what one. Most of my ROMs got wiped about a month ago and I had the ROMS for a long while and don't remeber where i gots them.

Where did you get the item codes? I've never seen them.

The following codes seem to work:
Alternate wep appearance
Unlimited energy
Unlimited magic
No charge for dash
Unlimited bombs
Hearts restore full energy (though, I think it is somewhat wonky).

Codes that don't:
Unlimited laser arrows - but that's probably because it doesn't work on silver arrows.

Everything else was untested, as I don't know the source. I recognize the ones I've tested since I got to play with a Game Genie at one point.

Well I guess I will go looking for new codes. See if I can find ones that work but I think most will probably be the same. If anyone has a list of codes for this game that work post them if you would.

most of tho's codes you posted worked for me in zsnes v1.36 and/or v1.42 for windows... so i dunno... bug in v1.51?

do you have the cheats loaded and toggled on while playing?

Here are 2 links that have codes that work with zsnes v1.51 The first one is Game Genie codes the other link is not so don't put in the "-" I hope someone other then I gets use out of the links.

The secant site I have not used all the codes but the ones I have used work wonderfully.

I've tried a few of the other codes. They are PAR codes (Pro Action Replay). They seem to work just fine though some don't "quite work". I seriously am not understanding how these codes not work for you, but whatever I guess.

i know that the "links hearts always at 30" code makes you die instantly after getting hit by anything... but apart from that =\ i dunno... most of the item codes should work... gamefaqs has a bunch and so does robsgaming.

make sure you're typing the code in the top box and the description in the bottom, I made the mistake of doing the opposite (dyslexic moments and such) that should make them work
