You should be able to.
Try loading Final Fantasy 4, see what happens.
To get rid of spyware...
You'll need to get Spybot Search & Destroy, AdAware, a virus scanner, switch to a real web browser. Among other things, but that's a good start.

Some spyware specifically blocks AdAware and Spybot S&D from updating themselves. To get around it, you would have to reboot in "Windows XP Safe Mode with Networking".

If spyware/adware bloat is causing the memory error, then you need to deal with it first.

AdAware:
http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Per ... ag=lst-0-1

Spybot S&D:
http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-D ... ag=lst-0-2

Download them both to your desktop, but do not install them

Click Start>Run>"MSCONFIG">[Enter]

Click the BOOT.INI tab
Select /SAFEBOOT, and NETWORK

Choose "OK" and restart the computer into Safe Mode.

Once there, install AdAware and make sure that it is able to update itself. If the current DAT files are not from this month, it probably has not been updated. Perform a full system scan.

This is where many people screw up:
Even though it takes a long time for the scan to complete, none of the detected spyware is removed. AdAware will display a list of hundreds or thousands of detected components. You have to select them all before you continue, but there is no "Select All" button. This is poor interface design. You must right-click any item in the list and choose "Select all..." from the pop-up context menu. The removal process often appears to be frozen/crashed...just wait about 30 minutes before you force it to close.

When you are done installing, updating, scanning, and removing with AdAware, do the same with Spybot Search and Destroy.

In the box, browse for your Final Fantasy 4 ROM, just like you did in NSRT.

Does that even work from within Windows? I know it does in DOS, and I'm not about to go check, either.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?
