Help about installing ZSNES

Post by caffolote »

I have the Evaluation version of WinZip and I want to know step-by-step how to install ZSNES on it because I'm having some trouble. Anyone know how I could get through this?

Is there a way to get this Winzip/RAR thing? I think thats why it won't let me download.

Instead of opening when you download it, save it to somewhere in you computer, like your desktop.

Here's how, in 8 easy steps.... no musical references intended....

1) Download ZSNES from http://www.zsnes.com/
2) When prompted, "Save to Disk" to Desktop
3) When download is finished, view your desktop by pressing the Windows key (probably 2nd key from bottom-left side of keyboard, same row as the space bar) and at the same time, M (anotherwords, press Win key+M)
5) You will see a new icon on your desktop -- double click on it.
6) Since you say you have WinZip installed, a window will open.
7) Press the extract button and extract the file to the folder of your choice.
8) Navigate to the previously chosen folder (see step 7) and run zsnesw.exe or zsnes.exe, whichever is there.

Your done!
Just follow the steps on-screen.

Note: you're going to have to provide yourself with games. Be this by legal means, or illegally downloading them from the internet, you have to get them somehow. DO NOT ASK WHERE TO GET THESE GAMES, also called "ROMS". A search engine might be useful...
