I have finished _part_ of my SNES game

Post by undisbeliever »

I have released the first part of my SNES game "Dragon Keeper".

All graphics are for demonstartional purposes only and it only contains loading your game and the text intro - but I'm showing it to you for testing purposes only

It is at
http://snescentral.edgeemu.com/Development/demos/dk/

you will need to download 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) to extract this project.

Any comments/suggestions (or if you want to help me with this project) please email me at marcthemer@gmail.com

Could you put a precompiled binary somewhere?

The binary is in that package, extract it and it's /Game/Binaries/Game.fig

It would probably be a good idea to offer a different archive format being that we're not dealing with large amounts of data here.

I'm interested in what you've done, but not interested enough to install another program on my computer.

marcthemer:
So far it looks nice, can't wait to see some gameplay.

If you have WinRar 3.4x installed, it will open .7z files.

Powerarchiver can, too, and Powerarchiver can open a *ton* of compression formats, except JMA.

The url didn't work for me at first, so I thought I'd wait a bit for it to come back up, but everybody seems to be getting the file now and it still won't show up for me. :\

Thanks. I do use WinRar already, I don't see any harm in upgrading that.

"And to comment this great occasion"

I think you mean "commend"

And "it allowed good spirits roam free across the land"

I realize you're out of room, but this sounds weird.

"and man's rage, like wildfire grew at an alarming rate"

I think a comma is needed after wildfire, but I could be wrong.

"Flued by hatred" "Fueled" maybe?

"The Dragons, torn from their homeland by the chaos. Returned to the land, to try and save it"

This also sounds weird.

What about "The Dragons, who were torn from their homeland by the chaos, returned to try and save it"

"Though some rogue Elves believed the words of the dragons
And swore a blood oath to protect them."

Why is "And" capitalized? There is neither period nor comma preceeding it.

Sorry. It's just what I happened to notice.
