REQ: Window title and border + resize

Post by JailDesigner »

Hi. First of all: I LOVE THIS EMU! :)

And I would love more if it will have a window border (selectable) and the possibility to resize that window, keeping or not the aspect ratio. Something like Kawaks or Mame in window mode.

I know it might be hard to develop now, but it will be nice to see :)

Thanks a lot for the emu and sorry for my poor english. Keep the good work.

Use the SDL port's Variable mode.

No Windows-like GUI as long as I'll live.

<jmr> bsnes has the most accurate wiki page but it takes forever to load (or something)

Grin... Don't be so harsh ;) JailDesigner, if YOU come up with the ASM I'm sure it could be arranged to be put it in CVS *giggle*, I mean honestly how hard can it be right? I suggest reading "The art of assembly". Great read and will help you get started

Most people don't like to see the current GUI go. Neither do I. I rarely resize windows anyway.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

I would assume windows since kawaks, mentioned above despite being used as an example, is windows based.

Compile it from the source.

Is there a way to compile the SDL version in windows? This would be interesting to try.

Is it feasible to make a Windows SDL build that uses OpenGL rather than DirectX (DirectDraw)? I thought SDL on Windows ending up using DirectX 5 or something to that effect. Nasty.

It's for the Windows version.

And i also love the zsnes gui. I don't want a Main Menu bar, i only want (would like) the possibility to resize the window and not to use one of the default sizes. That's all. And of course, the window title bar could be usefull to drag the window because it's a bit hard drag from the zsnes menu bar.

But this it's only an idea, in case you don't know what to add to the emu :)

You can drag ZSNESW in windowed mode using the right mouse button anywhere in the GUI.
