NSRT v3.3 RC1 - Nach's SNES ROM Tools

---------------------Internal ROM Info----------------------
File: Earthworm Jim 2 (U) [!].smc

--------------------------Database--------------------------
   Name: Earthworm Jim 2
Country: USA Version: 1.0
Port 1: Gamepad Port 2: Gamepad
Many sounds are missing, like for example the playing of the accordeon during the intro. The sounds didn't work in 1.337, the game stopped working period in 1.35, the sounds worked briefly in 1.36 (albeit slightly distorted), and they stopped working again in every version after that.

Also, the game freezes at some moments while using a gun, this seems to happen most often in level 2 (savestate).

Just start shooting the walls and ceiling to the right (keep y pressed) and it should freeze within a short time.

Earthworm Jim 2 is the one of the game(s) with serious timing issues
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

Game Name: Not ROM related
Type of bug: freeze/crash
ZSNES Version: 1.42 (win32)
OS: Win XP SP2, everything I know is up to date. I've tried to kill every process I can before playing but the problem still occur.

Description of the bug:

Suddenly during gameplay both the video and the sound hangs. The sound makes the typical "stuttering" repeating the last chunk in the sound buffer (or something). Nothing happens for perhaps 10 seconds. No respons from ZSNES whatsoever, not from the GUI nor the game.

Then the game resumes like if nothing happened, for perhaps 5 seconds.

And then it hangs again for like 10 seconds, but this time the video doesn't resume, just the audio. It appears that the game continues with both controls and audio, and I think I can enter the GUI, but the video is still hanged. I can ALT+F4 ZSNES, and I can ALT+TAB away from it. If I try to restoring after ALT+TABbing, the screen is black instead of showing the freezed gameplay picture, but everything else continues.

If I (in a desperate action) try to ALT+TAB to something else and then back to ZSNES, the screen is just black.

This has happened several times, perhaps once every other hour of playing. I'm running 640x480 (D/S), triple buffering and HQ2X.

Don't know if you guys got this one. Blackthorn seems to keep freezing (the game itself) when i rewind.
Just do drugs...they are good for you (not the additive ones)

Windows 98
Game: Actraisers 2
Bug: You can't enter a level, when the level is getting zoomed-in (in the map), the game crashes, on version 1.36 it doesnt, but on 1.42 it does.

Code - http://tinypic.com/5oxoud

EDIT
Game: BS Kaizou Tyoujin Shubibinman Zero
Bug: On version 1.42, after a random time, the sound crashes, and the next scene you enter after the sound crashes, the game crashes. On 1.36 it doesn't.

Code - http://tinypic.com/5oy0zl

Third BUG: This bug is problems of zsnes, I can't explain very well... But, if other people have the same problem, they can explain better.

TCP/IP doesn't works, at least with me a random time after it crashes, i tested on 1.36 and 1.42, with different users and I tested on 2 pcs (one Windows XP and the other Windows 98) here at home.

With some people UDP is crashing on 1.42 - Weird, its just on 1.42, with some people it crashes, I go play on 1.36, and it never crashes, it crashes like that: One player see the screen crashed, and the other see the games normally, what the player with the crashed screen makes, will appear on the other screen, but he just see the game crashed.

They completely removed netplay from the latest versions of ZSNES, that's why that doesn't work. :P

Actraisers 2 - Its bug already is known. http://66.199.241.91/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=56

BS Kaizou Tyoujin Shubibinman Zero - Not confirmed, I played all game using WIP 2005-05-19 with the SDL port and no random crashes. Try play that with last WIP, if crashes again, report it.

Thanks everybody for reporting so many bugs! But since this topic has served its purpose (to find all old and outstanding bugs without flooding the board) its time for it to die. All new bugs that are not on the Sourceforge Bug Tracker or Bugzilla should be reported in a new topic.
