Yes. Even the 40 gig(AKA useless piece of shit) model plays 'em.

The PS3 has never really included any PS1 hardware(Well, many of the graphics functions of the PS1 were mapped into the GS chip for the PS2's BC.), and plays 90% of PS1 games just fine.

Doesn't play burned ones though.

You're not kidding! The n64 is one of the most disappointing consoles ever released. After the great SNES, it had a hell of a job filling its' shoes, and failed miserably.

don't worry, they'll eventually get backwards compatability worked out, be a cheap ass like me and wait till they are dirt cheap. My friend got an absolute steal right after thanksgiving though he got an 80 gig for $300, someone at the store seriously fucked up.

PS2-style backwards compatibility isa Big Deal for me as my room is not that large, so yeah. Software compat will just be bad, no two ways about it no?

I don't know if you understood me. I'm saying I'm just waiting till later to buy my PS3, and by then hopefully PS2 software emulation on the PS3 will be complete

the fact that i used sales at the end of my statement is merely to support my argument about the GAMES. you decide to go off on one point, and you don't even execute that well.

did i say ANYWHERE that the mere fact that the psx outsold the n64 automatically meant it had a better library? NO. i first mentioned some of the more notable games that the system had, to counter the "only one game worth owning" crap, and then (i'm about to repeat myself) used the sales as a support. because good games sell systems.

sure, it's more complicated, but once again, i did NOT use the sales as my main point. so whatever point you're trying to make is moot.

So does the PS one. Pretty much if you use mist, it slows down.

Saturn version may go a tad beyond "fair bit." I've never actually played it(but I'm building a comp RIGHT NOW that can handle Saturn emu!).
