snes cart programmer

Post by walshy007 »

this is more directed to caitsith2 or neviksti if they're still around, but I figure someone on here would know the answer.

in regards to caitsith2's snes cart programmer
http://caitsith2.com/snes/snes_cart_dumper.htm

the question is about the 74hct573, is it possible to use a 74hc573 instead or must it support TTL logic?

I ask because it is the one piece I have left to get to make one and it seems near impossible to get hct's around here, but hc's are everywhere,

i did a quick search on the forums on the cart progger but nothing came up.

thanks in advance,
whicker

Should be okay.

I used to have a really awesome chart bookmarked, but it's gone... this link will have to suffice... Table 3-11 is of note here.

Yep. You should be able to use the 74hc573 as well assuming your logic low is below 2V which I'm sure it should be in this application.

Anyway, BOTH versions can be readily found somewhere such as Mouser:

Digikey also has them

Amazon also has one:
