Merry Christmas zsnes team, and a happy new year, take a break and enjoy the festivities.

Here, have a <insert prefered alcoholic beverage here> :D

Yes, we're about 14 months closer to the next release now.

What year ;)

seriously, any little dangly snippets of juicy info for us :)

Please, I have no wish for hung, drawing or quartering so take my ask with a smitten of jest :)

Zsnes is like that bottle floating in the ocean, the waves seem to be bringing it into grasp but at the last second a big wave takes it back out to sea :)

Trying to get the developers to tell you information about Zsnes' current state is like trying to vote the extreme far-left liberal Nancy Pelosi out of office; it's not gonna happen.

I know, hence the very un-serious way it was worded :)

As a Brit it's always a fascination just how seriously you Americans take your politics, you guys would and do fight to the death about it :)

Sadly, no matter what, we all get shafted....

No - our blowhards just shout really really loud. All bark and no bite, as they say. Most Americans seem to be unable to drag their blobulous carcasses out of their armchair into the car to go stand in line to vote. Hence the popularity of armchair politicians - they're too fat to try to politick from anywhere else.

Yes, I've seen that on LiveLeak a lot, huge great fat mouthed numpties putting the world to rights but you can see the nearest they get is watching it on McDonald in store TV :)

The Brits just don't have the same passion for it, they tend to just give up.

What's up with you and first saying something stupid and then admitting to being an idiot when someone calls you on it, is it some bizarre type of trolling?

It took ZSNES 9 years, 6 months, and 22 days to reach 1.51 from the start so I'd expect a similar amount of time to rewrite it. I can't remember when they announced a rewrite; but if taken from the day 1.51 came out, it's been 3 years, 2 months, and 20 days. That leaves 6 years, 4 months, and 2 days left until a release.

If it's much easier to rewrite code than invent the logic or find the knowledge in the first place (let's say it takes 2/3 the time) then there's 3 years, 2 months, and 5 days until a release. Almost halfway there.

That sounds like evaluating by lines of code to me, which is unreliable at best.

If I got a dime for every moron that claims it's easy to do it, then I'll have enough cluebats ready to smack them all down, with spare change!

I'm not sure which is going to come out first, DNF, next zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator) version or Dre's Detox album. It's funny that all 3 are at the climax of its development. We'll see who wins this battle.

God damn forum filter, that was on purpose!

phpbb3 edit: writing z_nes takes a bit of imagination now.
