I haven't seen Nach around, but there has been talk of a cmake based build system. Mainly, the Qt GUI will need the most work, as we need to start wiring in the backend for it to really be usable..

I'll keep it simple:

Now THAT'S more like it. Found the missing "zlib1.dll" but according to dll-files.com the .dll called "d3dx9_37.dll" is nonexistent...why can't these builds come included with these missing dlls anyways?

Those files (d3dx9_xx.dll) are from those DX9 Bimonthly (and now quarterly) updates.

Since I'm already there:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

If you want to avoid the validation junk:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

It helps a lot if you do some of the stuff for yourself, because it's easy to be mean when you don't think for yourself.

Coincidentally, the DX9 updater was in that same folder, which would have been an option.

Updated first post with improved links and descriptions.

Edit: mudlord, this sounds like a dumb question, but where do the filters go so VBA finds them? It would've been nice if you mentioned it in the readme.

2nd Edit: When an IPS patch is loaded, it would be nice if a message would confirm this.

The filter plugins go in a "plugins" sub directory to where VBA-M is located. Just like Kega Fusion. And I'll update the readme when I can to highlight how filter plugins are used.
When an IPS patch is loaded, it would be nice if a message would confirm this.
Hmmmz, I'll put this on our todo list so when I get a chance, I don't forget it.

Actually, Kega Fusion finds the plugins in the same folder the app is in (in other words, it has no issue to finding it).
Kega Fusion's readme wrote:Render Plugins are available seperately and should be placed either
in the same folder as the Fusion.exe, or in their own folder named Plugins.

Thanks for correcting me. 8)

Anyways, for the Linux people that can't wait for the QT GUI, bgKu ported the old GTK GUI to VBA-M.

So, just me :P haha.

Is this an invitation to join your forum (I'd have to register), or might this be uploaded to the main site/sourceforge? Just curious. I'll register if you'd like.

Oh I know, I've been reading it when I get a chance. What I meant was that I have to be registered currently to download attachments on your forum.

But yeah, I'll probably register anyway.

VBA-M crashes when taking a PNG screenshot... it's occuring with the latest MSVC2008 build (478).

Edit: Never mind, you are aware of this (I did a quick check of your forums).

I'm well aware of this... 8)

And...GTK GUI is now up and usable. I'm still gonna work on the Qt4 GUI of course, bgKu did a port of the ol' GTK GUI with some updates for VBA-M.

Least it will do until the Qt4 GUI is finished. Sorry for not being that active as of late, I had much university work to do (and still do).
