Internet/Router problems

Okay so if I unplug my router and use my modem alone it'll work with TCP/IP but with the router plugged in UDP or TCP/IP do not work is there anyway I can make it work? I've already made the firewall accept Zsnes and any other connection blocks

It's a linksys WRT54G

My guess is that:
1) You haven't configured your router correctly.
2) You haven't configured your software firewall correctly.

I fallowed the sites directions from what forwarding port site but it still didn't work....what another way to do it? it's confuuuuseing

Maybe try using the above link? Don't mind the "zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator)" spelling as the site clearly typo-ed it.
