Automatic key-typer

Post by Nissefar »

I have just installed zsnes, everything working just fine, though when i was about to enter www.zophar.com, it typed it for me(!) I mean, the computer wrote all by itself, it even backslashed at a wrong spelling, seems like a timeinterval between the occurences. It also typed zsnes.com several times, it doesnt just type in adresses, but also uses folders, the tab-button etc. really strange, i do have an antivirusprogram including panda and ofc firewall.

Anyone willing to shed some light on this peculiar event?

Thx in advance.

It sounds like you have spyware on your system.

Why would either zophar or ZSNES have spyware apps that keep spamming your comnputer with their web addresses?

it could be anything, could be just some spyware that enters addresses from your web history while sending the lot to some bastards server to see what you have done.

Not even Ad-Aware, Panda or Avast detected it. Btw it also runs C:\zsnes sometimes (Where I have my ZSNES installed). Any tips on how to remove it? (A good scanner or someting)

It doesn't necessarily have to be spyware. It could be a keylogger or backdoor program that was installed.

Try using a Spybot Search and Destroy.. or whatever it is called.

Don't blame ZSNES for your issue. Whatever network protection you have (no/pathetic firewall or easy to type in login password) are usually the culprit, followed by an unpatched system.

Anyways, if you didn't download ZSNES from the official website, that is half your problem.

Stay away from porn, wares, and other illegal downloading sites is my suggestion. Zsnes and Zophar.com had nothing to do with your malware infection.

Go to Start->Run and type MSCONFIG. Look at the final tab "Startup", and paste here EVERYTHING that appears there. If u can post direct screenshots, that'd be great.

If Zophar has spyware on it, it is a sure sign the site is coming back!
