I looked around on mudlord's site earlier today. Now the site is terminated.
Its terminated because I can't find a decent free web host with no ads at all and decent bandwidth. Heck, I don't even care if I have a 50MB file limit, as long as the bandwidth is good.

It would be extremely nice if in_spc supported track names.
Needs to be implemented by hand, since snes_spc is a emulator only. Nothing too hard. Least GME has the nice benefit of having functions that get the info for me. 8)
Seeking would be great too.
I don't see the point in seeking, or observing times (since the original system doesn't care about those things). And it also has to be implemented by hand.

For really long songs, like the eight minute plus ones in Plok!, seeking would be nice on occasion.

Well, you can always dump them to .wav or .mp3 files...

Convenience. And that's not "raw" anymore.

Just a simple request. It would be more useful, no matter how you slice it nor how you create an argument.

Raw PCM is as raw as you can get. And bit perfect too.
You can even make a little proggie to loop it forever, fadein/out, or all sorts of crazy shit !

Just delete the first 58 bytes and WAV becomes raw 16-bit signed stereo PCM audio data at 32khz, that's not playable by anything.

In my DOS days I had a small tool called sbplay that could play raw PCM files (with parameters supplied via command line) or WAV/VOC files.

'twas cool for my QBASIC games. 8)

Anyway... yes, WAV is RAW.

How many things can play SPC files? how many things can play WAV files? how many things can edit/convert A spc file? how many things can edit/convert A wav file?

do you still think spc files are more flexible? o_O

Well, since you can "convert" SPC to WAV but not the other way around, it's more flexible.

yes, you can convert the original format to a more flexible format. pretty much proving that SPC is a less flexible format by it self.

No, because SPC, through conversion, gains the advantages of wave, while still maintaining the original file with discrete per-instrument samples and per-voice controls.

SPC can be wave, but wave can never be SPC.

Editing an SPC may be a less common feature, but it's infinitely more powerful than wave editing.

This plugin does not work in XMPlay. "This plugin is unsupported by XMPlay because it uses it's own output." I don't have any problem with SNESAmp.

You sure about that? I use the plugin in XMPlay. Something's probably goofy.
