Saving Problem with a game.

Post by Raikuma »

Hey guys, I've been trying to find an SNES emulator, and I came upon this site. Everything was going well until I got to saving, it's giving me a message like this " Unable to Save ". The SNES Emulator and the Chrono Trigger rom are in the same folder, on my desktop if it matters. Thanks in advance.

What version of ZSNES are you using? If you are using 1.42 or prior, you should upgrade.

Hmm..

Make sure you define a save folder in Config->Saves. You also need to make sure you have full read/write access to said folder.

Well I made a folder for saves, and I put the name in, but it didn't work. Everytime I try to uncheck read only for the folder, it goes back next time I see it, even after I press apply.

Sounds like you have an account with limited permissions.

You may be better off trying to create a ZSNES folder near the top.. such as C:\ZSNES and hope you can set the appropriate permissions from there.

A good place to save is in the Documents or Profile Folder, you should at least be able to write there. If not try a floppy drive or flash disk if your are desperate.
