That's the consensus, last I checked.
Bigass rock some kilometers wide went crash, causing eruption on the other side due to shockwave transmission, crust pulverized into high atmosphere on one side, volcanic fumes on the other, no sunlight, temperature drop (average was 35°C at the time, take that global warming weenies), reptile death, yadda yadda.
