Are there only 10 features?
10 features would step by 10%

Stepping by 11% (under 50%) may very well mean 9 features.

ATI sucks still :P i have 100% support here with my 275 using 191.56, and 198 extensions.

and yes, 3.2 only has 9 extensions. 3.1 has 8 and 3.0 has 23

unless it fixes the VRAM bug, and Texture clipping issues that were in 9.11, no thanks :P

anyway, the only ATI i have is in a Win7 laptop.

ATI cards finally got full OpenGL 3.2 support with the latest Catalyst (9.12) drivers.
9 new OpenGL extensions in this version (176 total)

UPDATE: Get the 9.12 OpenCL hotfix , not the regular 9.12 driver. It includes additional OpenGL fixes and performance improvements.

NOTE: The latest version of GLView doesn't display all the new extensions. To see the complete list, use the 'GPU Caps Viewer' from Geeks3D.com

Isn't video memory detection in Vista/Win7 a little oddball in the first place?

No, that's one little thing given that Intel graphics is still massive fail.

Is that with the 9.12 OpenCL hotfix or with the regular Catalyst 9.12?

(You don't need to reinstall the Catalyst 9.12 hotfix - just get the hotfix driver, extract the atioglxx.dll and replace the old one in the system folder with the new one. No reboot is necessary)

The hotfix driver fixes the 'cardboard grass' glitch in the Unigine Heaven benchmark (OpenGL 3.2), but the automated benchmark still freezes after a while (black screen and 0% GPU load). Free roaming mode works fine.

The hotfix also fixes the text corruption in the GLView OpenGL3 test.

the ICD in 9.x is getting worse.... and the OGL memory leak is stiill there, it just requires new reasons to occur.

ATI OpenGL 4.0 driver released ahead of NVIDIA - brings full OpenGL 4.0 and OpenGL 3.3 support
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

AMD has just released a special version of Catalyst 10.3 for Windows and Linux with OpenGL 4.0 support. For the first time ever, AMD is the leader in OpenGL.

There are 20 new OpenGL extensions exposed by this GL 4 driver, including tessellation and 64-bit double-precision calculations. The total extensions count finally reaches over 200.

You will need an ATI card from the HD5000 series (Direct3D 11 compliant) to get full Open GL4.0 support.

Older Direct3D 10 generation cards (HD2000, HD3000 and HD4000 series) are also getting an upgrade to OpenGL 3.3 with this driver.

But that's not all - AMD's new driver also brings some noticeable OpenGL performance optimizations and various bugfixes.

NVIDIA will also release an OpenGL 4.0 driver very soon…

The latest version of Catalyst (10.4) brings tons of great features and improvements for all ATI Radeon HD cards:

- Greatly improved / fixed 2D performance with Aero ON under Windows 7
- Hardware acceleration of L 5.1 H.264 video (finally!)
- HW acceleration of Quad HD (3840x2160) videos
- Video transcoding integrated into the Catalyst control panel, improved transcoding performance and support for new formats (H.264 file formats – MTS, WTV, and WMV9 Complex profile interlaced content)
- OpenGL: Double-precision (64-bit) float support for Radeon HD 2000 (!),3000 and 4000 series of cards
[100% of OpenGL 3.3 and 23% of OpenGL 4.0 supported on the old, low-end HD2600 and even on the HD3300 IGP]
- OpenGL: Greatly improved performance in Maxon Cinema4D / Cinebench

Now with OpenGL ES 2.0 and OpenGL 4.1 support (!)

* ATI Catalyst 10.7 OGL Beta brings full OpenGL ES 2.0 support to the Radeon HD series of cards (Windows-only ATM, Linux driver coming soon). This driver finally adds the much needed GL_ARB_direct_state_access extension. An OpenGL 4.1 driver for Windows and Linux is coming soon.

* NVIDIA, not to be outdone, released a new beta of their Forceware drivers with full OpenGL 4.1 support just one day later.

* They finally added support for the newest (stable) versions of the kernel & X.Org in Catalyst 10.7 (no need for manual driver patching)
* The slow 2D performance is history - Starting from Catalyst 10.6, 2D runs like butter, even with compositing
* OpenGL is usable (it works nicely even under WINE), but there are still a number of WINE bugs (these are not ATI driver bugs) that the WINE developers need to fix.
* There's still a bug with Unigine Heaven (an OpenGL 4.0 demo/benchmark) when tessellation is enabled

Current status:

NVIDIA = 240 extensions (GL 4.1)
ATI = 204 extensions (GL 4.0 + GL ES 2.0)

Catalyst 10.10a brings full OpenGL 4.1 support, OpenCL 1.1 and for the first time bundles the OpenCL SDK with the graphics drivers.

On top of that there are numerous bug fixes and performance improvements.

214 extensions total (with a Radeon 5000-series card)

Even the Linux driver is *a lot* better this time.

Good job, AMD :)

Good to know ATi is slowly but surely becoming more viable in Linux... :) I am/was in the market for a new PC, at first I was going to go nVidia, but I might give ATi a shot too...

The ATi brand is history.

It's AMD Radeon graphics from now on :)
