the problem with some images not showing has been isolated to the new Romania subscription for Adblock+.

The secret is out? That's the most obvious trolling I have seen in a long time.

That's actually cool. I like what you did with the Super Famicom logo. At least, I think I do. I saw it earlier but now the image is not loading for me. Hadn't planned to reply, but I liked it when I thought about it more. If I can make a suggestion, maybe you could consider a shorter blur. When they blur and rotate to almost touching, it kind of reminds me of the Google Chrome logo.

EDIT: I can see it again now. Yeah. I like that.

I still don't see why my second logo was also removed from this thread. Granted, it was just a parody of FitzRoy's logo, but why should mine have been removed?

That's a pretty cool feathery effect, gllt, how'd you do that?

More fun with filters, maybe a bit slicker than the last one.

I dunno, the other one is kind of timid, makes me think of aquatic sports or something.

...I just had a crazy idea from Fitz's picture.

Do like glit did, but make it a spiral galaxy. The four sections would be colored like the Super Famicom buttons.

Relative bottom of the spiral yellow, left green, et cetera. I think uit'd look nice with proper color gradients to go from one button to another.

The slogan could be something joking like "The final frontier of SNES emulation."

I did it with the smudge brush in shoopshop
around 70-80 strength and mouse strokes where you desire
if you get some out of the lines, then come in and smudge black back over it in the general direction

but I could cheat it to look like what you want without all the smudgework, Im rusty on my mouse skills since I haven't done art or opencanvas in a long time

Just to clarify, I was referring to my previous one as aquatic. As for gllt's feathery mod of that one, it's a cool effect, but maybe not the best fit for this application. Fiery vortex is giving me good vibes.

Plus you can't submit a mod of someone else's logo, cheater! :p

gllt's variation resembles a phoenix's nest a bit. I would like to see another modification of it, it's going into a good direction. FitzRoy's starting idea was really creative, although in my opinion font needs more fancyfication.

well whatever I do to your logo's, you all have the right to tell me to take it down or take it down for me
and in the end if I had won, which I don't think I would have and is why I just submitted a ton of entries for people to play with, I wouldn't want the halfcredit thing byuu is offering, I'd give it all to him
and if it's based on one of your logos I'd have him give you the half credit

because I DON'T CARE

All I can say is I wouldn't even put the one byuu chose in the top 3. Blackmyst's is still the best and it isn't even drawn straight.

well thats because blackmyst is an artist and not a hasbeen
and is either very good with a mouse or a tablet (its a myth that either is easier than the other, both take skill)

This still gets my vote. So awesome. Blackmyst's was my other fav, along with the MGS-styled one. The newer ones have ben good too, but the early stuff was the most inspired, I think.
I bring the trouble.

Make blackmyst's version into a polished SVG and I'll happily use it instead. Fink is awesome :D

oh wait so, is this like the "the contest" thread already instead of just the "thinking about doing a contest" thread? Should I bother anymore? lol

fitzroy's very first version immediately strikes me as the most professional of the bunch, even though the colored thing and the shape made by the connecting n and s give off the feeling of representing something while they really don't. But it's very appealing overall.
