linux mame frontend

Post by jdratlif »

Can anyone suggest a good mame frontend for linux? I compiled sdlmame last night, but it doesn't seem to have a very useful interface. It brings up a handful of my roms, but I can't see any pattern to them or how to view the rest.

I like mameuifx on Windows, but my new machine is windows-free right now and it's not working too well under wine.

Gelide is nice, and supports several systems.

As for the sdlmame built in gui, when you run it, it gives you those "random" ones, just type a letter to narrow it down.
Type a, get the games starting with a
Type fi, for instant and get final fight, etc.
And behind me is
the Whole Hole
It consumes
anything.

Ooh, nice! Perhaps I'll actually install mame again.
I bring the trouble.
