Icons good to signify a particular OS platform

Post by Nach »

I want to make a download section on a website with icons to signify which OS a particular download is for.

Anyone know where I can get a good collection which covers MS-DOS, Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, OS X, and some more?

I got some in AWStats which look nice, but they're microscopic. I'm thinking 64x64 pixels would be a decent size.

The icons should be recognizable as signifying a particular OS.

i know mozilla's website has decent ones that they use, if you didn't mind just copying theirs

the size might be smaller than what you want, though

EDIT: playgreenhouse.com has decent icons for windows, mac, and linux

If those are no good, you might find what you're looking for on slashdot? If I remember correctly they have some decent icons for at least some OSs, but I don't remember off the top of my head.
I bring the trouble.

None of those seems to cover enough OSs.

A friend of mine recently put together a package I can use. Thanks anyway.

One last shot! I just remembered the amarok download page has a lot of OS icons.

Hope it's at least somewhat helpful.
