When clicking email link, I want Firefox to open Hotmail.

Place to talk about all that new hardware and decaying software you have.

Well, I'm after a way to edit how Firefox treats an email link.

Why the hell do people even use Hotmail, if for anything other than a spam target? The few times I've had to reactivate and use it, I've gotten spam that passes their filter within minutes.

I've only started getting some spam in the last month. for well over 2 years I got no spam in my inbox.

@ Deathlike2, that area doesn't allow URL's, only applications.

pick a mail app that will let set up hotmail, like say windows live mail.

otherwise, copy & paste.

Urg, Hotmail. I've had people who use Hotmail unable to get any emails from me from various addresses, and they were unable to send me anything. What a useless service.

I still use the same hotmail account I've had for close to 10 years. I do not receive any spam.

and i've used mine for over eight years now, and almost* all the spam goes into the junk box.

*: of course junk will leak through the cracks every now and then, however that's what the phishing scam button is for. I even use it in the junk mail spam.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

Just an update to this, in recent versions of Firefox you have to do this via a bookmark or similar method. They disabled the ability to execute javascript via the address bar for some reason.
