Fast-forward button on gamepad(xbox 360 controller)?

Im using an 360 controller, and it's working fine, however I was just wondering if it's possible to fix a fast forward button on the pad? (Dont seem to be in the conf). So I dont have to stretch out to the keyboard everytime i want to fast forward. (Im playing dragon quest games, and the random encounters can get a little tedious once in a while)..
