Is bannerbomb blocked on google.com.au?

Place to talk about all that new hardware and decaying software you have.

Is bannerbomb blocked on google.com.au?

Post by franpa »

When I try to search the keyword Bannerbomb and press enter, nothing happens, same with clicking the "search" button. Other keywords work fine except ones like bannerbom, bannerbo, bannerb etc.

edit: nvm, must have been a computer glitch or using the "advanced search" broke there block function.

If they didn't do the requested blocks for the Chinese government, I doubt they'll be doing blocks for nintendo.

Try it, go to http://www.google.com.au/webhp?hl=en and search the word bannerbomb. Doing it from the Advanced Search page or your search box in firefox's top right corner, will work.

Works fine.
As always, it's a 1D-10-T error.

maybe not - aussie land seems to enjoy masturbating to censorship.

if someone provided a Australian proxy one could abuse, then we might discover something.
Does [Kevin] Smith masturbate with steel wool too?

When I hit "search" nothing happens but the URL address changes to http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp& ... a56c95bda8

Clicking that link from this forum gives me a blank page.

you might be the victim of ISP level censorship.

Or your parents installed a web filter.

No ISP in Australia (except maybe greedy Telstra and Optus) has a filter/site blocker service in place, some may apply prioritization to p2p and slow it down but that's it.

Neither of our computers has any web filter software installed, My dad (who is the only other knowledgeable computer user in our household) wouldn't tamper with "my" computer in such a way at least not without my permission first.

Of course this entire post is based on what I know, so some points may be wrong like they usually are with me involved >.>"

probably recent quake in taiwan has something to do with it.

i rarely able to access www.google.com too, but its weird as it still ping-able & tracert seems fine.

also, proxomitron reveals: "SocketError 10060 for connect()"
it happens lots since that quake.

I can access google fine and dandy, its just that particular keyword does not redirect me to the results page unless I perform it from the Advanced Search.

Even though they won't let their citizens masturbate to whatever consenting adult activity they want.
