Default theme is too dark or the contrast is just bad. Can just barely read the text etc. You should default to something more neutral and let users pick these "extreme" themes for themselves.

If you really can just barely read the text then there is something wrong with your eyes or monitor. Have you tried calibrating it?

Either way that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the theme. Why should the default theme be optimized for weird eyes/monitors/lighting conditions, if it makes it uncomfortable under normal circumstances?

You can't make that assumption for others. that being said, the contrast is a bit lower than should be. make the background colors a bit darker.

It says "Mark Forums Read"
It's oddly situated, and looks like it's part of the now-locked BSNES subforums section.

Not sure what theme you are using, but the "marked forums as read" thing is on the top of the board for me.

Edit: I checked through all the settings, and it seems there isn't a way to make it so all threads get "marked as read" after you have visited the board, like it was in PHPBB2. Lame.

Yeah, the "Mark Forums Read" link is in every theme installed here, AFAIK. The catch is that said link changes places depending on the theme you use. Took me a while to find it in subsilver2.

sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

...is there any reason this should still be announced? I mean it's been over a year since the phpBB3 install has been online..
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

Grin actually has a point about the Tetris DS code thread and those other stickies.

this one was more or less a test thread when we went to phpBB3. Obviously it's working fine and has been solid for over a year now...
