So I recently picked up the Patriot Box Office. I have always been a little careful on getting a media player. The reviews are always lukewarm and such. So I got this thing, and I'm shocked it can handle some videos even better than my laptop with VLC.
Does anyone else use media playing boxes? And if so do you have a favorite?

If I were to use a portable media player, it would be the WD TV. I heard good things about the device and it plays practically any file formats you throw at it.

I just use the PC for everything. Or sometimes the laptop, but I need the video out adapter cable.
My monitor is a television so I don't really need a separate network media center box. My sister wants to get a PS3, though, for netflix and maybe some web browsing and youtube.. and probably for her boyfriend to play Madden or some other boring shit.
