Graphical oddity on title screen only

Post by sweener2001 »

This on my new build.
AMD Phenom X4 @3.22 GHz (was an X3 @ 2.8 )
ati 5750
windows 7 x64

ram is g.skill 4 GB DDR3 dual channel
HDD is a WD 1 TB SATA
MB is an ASUS, don't recall the specific model. it does have usb 3.0 and that new fast SATA.

steam copy of the game.

It's only then. the game runs fine with no graphical weirdness (three missions done, about an hour of play). the witcher runs fine (another hour of play), and the system is stable.

I'm not even sure if it's an actual technical issue; maybe there are some settings i need to customize? any insight would be amazing.

can you provide a comparison shot of what it's supposed to look like? without context, it's difficult tell what the oddity is.

it's all i've seen, so i don't have a comparison shot.

the only shots i found on the web was during the beta.

i'm just assuming that the black parts should have textures on them.

but like i said, nothing might be wrong. i haven't played the expansion yet, and that character is from the expansion. all the missing parts seem like they're customizable, given the fact that this is a warhammer game.

i was just wondering if anybody knew about it. i'm not looking for someone to do all the googling and whatnot for me.

heh, when i looked before it looked like they were just dark areas. yay for crappy tv-as-monitor.

does tweaking the texture quality change anything?

Try running older ATI drivers. 10.1 might be a better option...

alright, got it working.

texture quality did nothing. disabling post-processing in-game had an interesting result.

however, the fix came by just enabling catalyst AI. pleasant, since i didn't have to go through the hassle of rolling back the drivers. Here's how it should, and does look:
