Chrono trigger game load
Okay, this is my first post here, and hope it won't make me seem like a retard.
Anyway. I was playing Chrono Trigger, and saved the game.
Then I saved the state on zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator).
So I come back today, and I can't load the state, and I can't find where I load the game in Chrono Trigger.
Help?

Re: Chrono trigger game load
It sounds like you are suffering from a path+permission issue.
Make sure you define a save directory that has full read/write access.
Also, make sure you aren't running zsnes within a compressed file (like zip, 7z, rar, or whatever).

your account wasn't hacked; you ran afoul of the board auto-correcting your misspelling of zsnes.fleamichael wrote:Thanks.

Why yes, my shift key *IS* broken.

Sorry, didn't know that was a touchy subject.
Anyway, how exactly do I define a save directory that has a full read/write access?

He... could be using Windows.
In which case just right click the directory saves are in, and click properties, and make sure you have full access (read/write) to the directory. You might have to do this to all files (CTRL+A) within once to update them, not sure if it's automatically recursive in Windows.

Maybe these people were born without that part of their brain that lets you try different things to see if they work better. --Retsupurae

and just as a note, that code that was posted is basically snippets from an IRC log. the word in brackets (this case pagefault) happens to be his IRC nick.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

It's commands to be issued at a command prompt.

Back when I was in elementary school, we had lessons on DOS and Commadore 64 commands!

Same here, although we fiddled with DOS and AmigaOS. I remember having to learn Commodore 64/128 by myself.badinsults wrote:Kids these days.

Lucky guys. We had like 5 hours worth of LOGO on a fucking piece of shit TO7 with rubber keys.badinsults wrote:Back when I was in elementary school, we had lessons on DOS and Commadore 64 commands!
Then no computer stuff at all until some phys/chem experiments in mid school (where GUI-apps were prelaunched before we arrived).
First actual command line stuff taught in school was at fucking university.
I doubt it changed since I was there (a couple decades now) for command line, it worsened if anything. Computers are likely explored more, but it's yeaaa go click that icon and double click that one
assuming it's not on a mac
And you didn't even understand what the difference was between abort and fail, so you did one at random !Rashidi wrote:i miss the old 'Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail?'

Re: Chrono trigger game load
the "computer lab" had maybe 8 VIC-20s. later on, this was supplemented with an apple //e that was shared between classrooms. when i was in middle school (my school went k-8), the school somehow ended up with a ps/2 model 30-286 (probably donated). don't remember it being used for anything besides printshop and prodigy.
