It is unlikely the something will explode. If the device is designed correctly, it would not display a picture and/or give you some error message.

So nintendo_nerd, stop being retarded and ffs TRY IT OUT.

This is not overclocking your system... this is just getting the display to work. Dualview has been available for a long time, like Geforce 2 MX aging long. Stop worrying like it's the fu***** Y2k bug.

If what the people act like on this board reflects what Hell is going to be like, I'm really looking forward to going there.

It _DOES_ have a standard, no overscan mode. He's just TOO LAZY to select it when he's switching from a low resolution input (I guess it produces black regions around the image.) and the full resolution input from the computer. It's called Full Pixel. I have a TV from the same line that I use with the computer so I know what I'm talking about.

DO NOT RELY on the overscan modes! They WILL BE SCALED and BLURRY! Just use 1920x1080 and Full Pixel, jesus christ. The other mode isn't going to DAMAGE anything, though; it's a fucking LCD. You're not going to mess up the input hardware, because it's completely digital and will just read it and be like "Oh, I can display this!" and do it, or it won't and just say "Input not supported." or whatever it says I forget.

This guy is completely frustrating, and I don't really get it. What's worse is he thinks we're in the wrong for being upset and annoyed at him, when he's wasting all this effort by making forum posts for things that would take a couple clicks to try.

I think I'd much rather be eviscerated and emasculated than to have to face the Hell I encounter on these boards. I don't even know why I joined this detestable hellhole in the first place! But you seem to enjoy mocking those who you label as noobs, cowards and the like. Do I go around starting flame wars? Do I go around harassing other board members? And yet, somehow, my very existence on these boards seems to spark animosity and abhorrence. And I thought Obama and his liberal left wing loons were rabid. さらばだ

What part of...
paulguy wrote: He's just TOO LAZY to select it"
did you not understand?

We flame at people who don't even try something that was suggested to them.

If it came down to "pushing butan" and you "push the other butan", you deserved to be flamed. It's as simple as that. If you think you're "educated enough" to do something as simple doing what other people have asked you to do, you wouldn't be in that situation. You might be a pure example of being part of the masses that when told to move left, you move right. So if you prefer being part of the group that futility stands proud of, then continue to sound like a scared clueless dumbass that refuses to use the brain to comprehend the simple things in life.

Really... JUST REALLY. JUST TRY DOING WHAT PEOPLE TELL YOU TO DO BEFORE ASKING FOR HELP. YOU WILL SAVE EVERYONE'S TIME AND ENERGY OVER IT.

oh, and none of those resolutions are 1080p except for 1920x1080. your tv simply interprets anything over 720p that's not interlaced as 1080p, as hdtvs are wont to do.
yeah, sorry, gave you explicit directions on how to test if it's perfect at the top of the thread. unsurprisingly, you ignored it.

It's not any of that, you're sitting here making posts, asking questions. You're getting correct and good advice from everyone, and yet YOU ARE SITTING HERE LIKE A FUCKING (and YES we can say fucking here, no need for censors) COWARD too scared to push the button.

I mean, seriously, if you're gonna use a machine translator to obscure the message because you're not even brave enough to say goodbye, at least do it RIGHT. "Hiding" stuff by Babelfishing to japanese is so overdone.

<grinvader> it's one word without homonyms
<grinvader> so it's easy to find
<grinvader> it can also mean, 'long time no see', incidentally
<grinvader> it's a greeting and parting for a while
<grinvader> it's often used by weeaboos
<grinvader> since it SOUNDS SOOO COOOL
<grinvader> (mostly badass animu doods use it in animus)
<grinvader> the GAR characters
<grinvader> if you're familiar with the qualifier

Heh, just read this thread properly and realised this is an identical issue to what I had with my Nvidia card and HDTV a week ago that I solved myself by using a VGA cable instead of using HDMI, as others have already stated. Its that simple.

Some people just don't know how to properly storm out in a huff.

Hi, nintendo_nerd!

And while we're calling out the spies that "left" in shame... you still owe me an apology, Squall!

Edit: Is it sadder that they're still lurking here and only pretending they left, or that I've bothered to check and call them on it?

Steal the Green Lantern's power ring and use it to destroy a few nations, if I recall correctly.
