Monitor/resolution problem (ZSnes Win7)

Post by spedo_76 »

Hi,

first of all thank to everyone here at the forum and to all the developers of this great emulator.

But now here's my problem:

recently I bought a new laptop equipped with windows 7 (home premium) and a new graphic card (radeon 6490m) to be put inside my arcade cabinet. The cabinet has a 640x480 crt and I use the VGA out of the laptop to get the output.

Now, I'm using ZSnes 1.51 and when I set any 640x480 full screen resolution, the image get messed up (as in the picture).

After this, if I do not touch anything, the emulator get back to last (working) resolution.

Can someone please give me some advice?

Thank you!!!

what happens if you set your desktop res to 640x480 outside of zsnes?
Why yes, my shift key *IS* broken.

what's the refresh rate set to? try using the -6 command-line parameter to force zsnes to use the same refresh rate in fullscreen.

It was set to 59 fps... very weird, I set the mode to 640x480@24bpp@60.

Now I tried to set it to 640@32bit and the refresh is set to 60 and it works.

If I've more time I'll try to switch back to 640@32bpp and see what happens.

Thank you again for your prompt support :)
