Netplay doesn't work

Hi,

i'm trying to get the zsnes multiplayer working to play with a friend but we don't get a proper connection.

Router and firewalls are configured correctly.

We don't get any sign of connection it just displays the "waiting for user" screen and nothing else happens.

We used different versions of ZSNES by accident one time. Surprisingly it tried establish a connection and the proper "Wrong Version" error was displayed.

I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 and Windows XP (already tried on both). He is using Windows 7 (64-bit).

We tried with versions 1.42 and 1.36 so far. Also tried zbattle.net.
