You need to put the SOCNSDD1 folder into the same folder where ZSNES stores sram and savestates.Mizehrith wrote:I'm having difficulties trying to apply the graphics packs to Star Ocean. Okay, so I've got the SOCNSDD1 folder (with the sdd1gfx.dat and sdd1gfx.idx files in it) in the same folder as the starocean.smc file, but I still see coloured squares when I play the ROM. Am I missing something?

FAQ
Hey, I'm working on the main ZSNES FAQ. Mind if I put this in it? I think it'd be a good thing to have in there.

The plan used to be Star Ocean support WITHOUT graphics packs in 1.40.
But who knows if it that will happen or not.

Look at Snes9x.
You can still use graphic packs even if S-DD1 decompression is implemented.
It reduces the CPU work. Some low-end PC users might want to keep using them in order to have a decent emulation speed.

This thread is for the S-DD1 chip, not for DSP chips.inutilemaster1234 wrote:I need something to make dugeonmaster work. Its a DSP type game.
