Patching FAQ
The following pages will aid you patching your games using zsnes/snes9x:

Just Use This

Its to easy, pick the rom u want to patch, then in the second thing pick the patch, and then click the patch button

Make sure of the following:
1. the ROM is a good checksum and clean. (verify it with NSRT)
2. you have autopatching enabled in ZSNES.
3. You may need to add/remove a header in the rom and/or the patch itself.
4. Put a copy of the patch in your saves folder (and your ROMs folder also, just to be safe), it should be named the exact same as your rom. So if the ROM was called Bahamut Lagoon [!].smc this is how it should be setup:
And that's all there is to it. Have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Use the GUI (included with version 3.2) if you don't know how to work in the console window.

Chances are the rom's checksum is bad, get another rom. Scan it with NSRT without the patch, just to be sure.Humanzy wrote:The rom keeps freezing when I try to start a new game, it did it before before I applied the patch that changed it to english. The latest version of NSRT also has a graphical frontend btw (nf.exe).
