Strange bug with Tokimeki Memorial

Post by TheMyriad »

Hi guys,
Sorry for bringing the bug up again; I had previously submitted the bug under the 1.40 RC1 thread, but the problem still persists with the 1.40 final release.
Anyway, the bug occurs after you play the game for awhile (or, just by fast-forwarding with the turbo button :-D )
Image
It still seems alright, until you try to click on one of the buttons on the left menu (say, the upper-leftmost one), after which, it looks like this:

And the parts kindof gradually turn black (without doing anything) until finally it looks like this:

It's not purely a graphics problem; it affects the controls as well.
The in-game cursor disappears, and pressing the directional buttons causes the squares in the background to go black as well, for as long as the key is pressed.

The sound, however, continues playing.

Here's the ROM info again:

Code: Select all

---------------------Internal ROM Info----------------------
       File: Tokimeki Memorial v1.0.smc

Oh, the problem happens with both versions of Tokimeki Memorial, 1.0 and 1.1. It doesn't occur with v1.36 of Zsnes, though.
Thanks for all the effort, guys!
P.S. Happy New Year, everyone! ;-)
