Illusion of Gaia Intro Bug

Post by MikeGoofy3627 »

While I'm viewing the Illusion of Gaia intro all the way through after the main title screen, I noticed that at the end of the intro during the Tower of Babel scene at the end of the intro, I noticed that it divides by 4 Tower of Babel scenes. The Illusion of Gaia gameplay itself works ok but the intro at the end has a bug. I would be very appreciated to make Illusion of Gaia intro working perfectly without glitches.

Even on ZSNES version 1.4.2, The Illusion of Gaia intro bug at the end of intro does the same thing. I am still waiting for new versions of ZSNES to make this game work very well without bugs in it.

Just be patient. Fixing bugs/glitches isn't very easy.

While we're at it, might as well ask him about the Axelay end-of-'texture' thingy bug, the Energy Breaker world map bug, and the Treasure Hunter G intro mode7 bug.

Of course this bug also happens in Japanese version of Illusion of Gaia and Europe version of Illusion of Time.

I figure I'll just post this here before starting a new thread about it, maybe someone can help me.

I've got the PAL version, Illusion of Time, and I'm having some weird sound issue. I haven't tested other games with wind yet (such as Final Fantasy VI), but whenever there is wind (the first time I noticed it was when Will plays Lola's melody for the first time) it sounds like really harsh, gratting electronic feedback as opposed to wind.

I KNOW it didn't sound like this on the cartridge. Is there some way to fix it, some sound setting I've yet to tweek?

There's also this kind of weird sound glitch whenever music fades out that's a bit gratting as well.

ZSNES sound core is far from perfect; this can be heard, for example, in different wind sounds. They just don't sound right. If you want better sound, try SNeESe.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

I just gave the emulator you mentioned a try and, while the sound is kind of nice ... there's no way to play Illusion of Gaia. I've tried toying with the settings, but the screen to select a saved game or start a new is blank - it's the world map image, but no prompts. I can move the curser up and down, you can hear it move ... but there's nothing there.

Eerie, really.

That's because SnEeSe only emulates the base SNES and SPC700, no chips, transparencies, etc.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

i checked the SnEeSe Emu and its sound core is also not too good :/
i think the "best" working solution give me SNES9x
I always check further Sound progress with Weaponlord (US) Rom
This rom uses some kind of voice sampling which seems very difficult to be emulated.

It's SNEeSe. What version did you try?

iirc, SNEeSe has the most accurate sound of all the SNES emulators.
