Are you running your games from a CD? If so, you need to provide a save path so you can save your games.

Open Zsnesw.cfg in Notepad and look for a line 'SaveDirectory='.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

If it has vanished from your computer and you have no backups, then no.

No level skip is possible, and your save game may be there. Look for an .srm in your zsnes or roms folder, the srm must have the exact filename (minus the extenstion, that is) as your smc or zip.

Please note that it may have been that your srm got corrupted.

there is a small chance you could it get back. There are programs out, that can recover deleted files from your harddrive, maybe this works.

If it doesn't go to zophar.net and look around, I think they have saved games from many games, maybe you find something suitable.
