Star Ocean Translation

Are you going to change the names in the Star Ocean Translation to coincide with the refrences in Tales of Symphonia? Such as Clatos Village -> Kratos Village?

I doubt that ToS was actually referencing to SO with that name.

The two names aren't related.

Thirded. Although I'm a bit fuzzy as to the relation between the Tales and SO series as of now... I could have sworn I saw a reference to Wolf Team in the credits to Tales of Eternia (ToD2 in the US).

I can certainly see how people would assume the series were related. Tales of Phantasia and Star Ocean are incredibly similar.

Oh, the series are related. ToP was made by Wolf Team, who then went on to become tri-Ace and make the Star Ocean games. But I'm unclear as to their current relations. I know, for example, that Motoi Sakuraba did the music for SO1, SO2, ToP, and ToD. I'm not sure how much contact there is between the two teams at present though.

Add SO3, VP and TOE to that list. And that's for the famous ones.

Yeah I am playing through Star Ocean right now, and I have noticed alot of things in it smilar to Tales of Phantasia generally. Like how the skills work and the character move in battles. Even the healing items are based on a percent and not a set number, a common trait in all the Tales games.
Games now-a-days are all about graphics... what happened to the good 'ol days when all a game needed was an amazing plot and easy to memorize controls to make it great.

The sound test is also very similar.
Those two games are the only SNES games I know of that have a really good sound tester.

A bit obvious here, but the graphics in general are very similar. Like, same style of rendering the characters. Lol...you all already knew that......or maybe I'm wrong......
