PSX game controller @ LPT1

Gamepad acting up? Keyboard not responding properly? Can't get that other user to work? Read and post about it here.

PSX game controller @ LPT1

Post by geem »

Edited for clarity, because RichardC was bored...:
Hi, I have a PSX controller configured on an LPT1 port (which is in working condition). In ZSNES for Windows the gamepad works fine, but on another machine using ZSNES for DOS (running in Windows 98), the gamepad doesn't work; when I try to set the keys, there is no response from the controller. In other emulators, however (Megadrive, for example), the gamepad works. Can someone please help me with this problem?

That puzzled me too.

The problem that you mentioned usually occurs when using the usb port. Maybe the adapter needs a driver or something?

Are you talking about Microsoft Windows 98?

There is no such thing as rWindows 98. It's more like Windows 98.
Try out CCleaner and other free software at Piriform

Does ZSNES DOS even support PS pads? I thought it was SNES only on the parallel port.

I guess you might need drivers to be able to use in under DOS, instead of plug and play like in Windows.

An extra "r" must have carried over from the word "for".
