Combining patches

Post by Dko »

Is there anyway to do this? I have a couple ff3 snes patches I would like to apply but each one I put on over writes the others so only that patch is in effect.

Are you hard patching:? That's the only way this will work.

If you _are_ hard patching already, then it sounds like the patches aren't compatible with each other. What patches are you trying to use?

You could hard-patch a ROM and then create a new IPS file by comparing the result with the original ROM.

See google for tools, eg. these.

You know, unless ZD's taken to removing the readmes from zip archives which they most likely haven't, all the information about applying the various patches (including which order to apply them in) is written in the readme, which you'd know if you had more than half a brain.
