Nice job, once again, Louis.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

Anyone else having problems with this game and latest ZSNES WIP?
If you enable the mouse, it will hang on showing the first map (after you get the first 3 demons). If you don't enable the mouse, it will hang after defeating the first enemy.
And funny thing, when unpatched, the game works fine even with mouse enabled. Bit of a prerelease?
SNES9x works fine, but enabling mouse does nothing there. Pity, the game should be much easier with mouse controls.

I think Gid tests it on the real hardware. If we fail at playing it, it's not his fault but ours.Knurek wrote:And funny thing, when unpatched, the game works fine even with mouse enabled. Bit of a prerelease?

But that doesn't exactly mean that he plays the game using the mouse, right? Maybe the patch overwrites some mouse code or something.grinvader wrote:I think Gid tests it on the real hardware. If only the mouse thingy worked in Snes9x.

If I remember right, a similar thing happens with the mouse function in "Revolution X," or whatever the Aerosmith game is. It might just be a problem with ZSNES, but who knows.Knurek wrote:But that doesn't exactly mean that he plays the game using the mouse, right? Hiouden and the mouse both work fine in ZSNES 1.337, so it's a problem with the emulator, not my patch. I can almost guarantee you that the reason the unhacked version "works" in the current ZSNES is that there's some sort of hacky code in the emulator that contains a hardcoded check against the "good" rom's checksum, and alters some improperly emulated behavior in the emulator that causes the game to crash.

Using Zsnes1.337 after pressing game start I get a blank screen, but music starts playing and such as though it's still moving.
What's up with that?
Also if I didn't know better I would swear to god that zsnes doesn't soft patch anymore. Zsnes1.40+ has forced me to hard patch everything

The board is cursed, and so am I.

Turn softpatching ONnailbiter wrote:I know it's *supposed* to but you'll have to convince my computer of that.
Then when you load the ROM, the info at the bottom on the screen will have 'IPS' if it's actually soft-patched.
