Anyway, if that's true, now I know what socket size Pentium 4 to find when I go x-mas shopping, thanks kevman.

No. Intel has forgone socket 478, all new Pentiums and Celerons are Socket T, i.e. LGA775

Did they make this change sometime near Thanksgiving 2003, because that's when I bought that celeron computer.

Last year was when 775 was starting to show a lot of headway

It's now the only thing Intel offers to OEMs and retailers
