From the look of the title screen you'd think the game is already in English

I have received said ROM, and yet I don't think I want to even try and start a new game. The opening music is too damn mesmerising to try. (Itoi still imbues ambience in his (?) music like a champ).

Inline post another gigantic software plus video card interpolation screen shot and I'll murder you. Was that really necessary? You probably had to PrintScreen and crop it manually, when there's a handy screen shot feature built-in that leaves only simple pixel doubling.

I take it that it doesn't have a language option.

Well... Mother 2 started in Canada, and took place in mostly English speaking countries, and Mother 3 probably does to, so of course they released the English version at the same time. I mean, it only makes sense.

What makes you think it started in Canada? I thought that at least Onett, twoson, threed and Fourside where located in the fictional "Eagleland". Which in my opinion parodies US a lot better than Canada.

Something I haven't read that I should?

I feel sorry for nintendo. The rom was really easy to find. At any rate I doubt I'll even try playing it until the english version comes out.

For some reason, I was under the distinct impression that Onett at least was in Canada. And I was pretty sure that they weren't in Eagleland, that was where Jeff was from (which was clearly a parody of Britain... I mean, boarding school's and Nessie)

Maybe I just made it up (or maybe I read it in Nintendo Power or something). I haven't played the game for a long time. But I definitely remember thinking that the game started in Canada, moved down to the US, flew over to Britain, and then teleported to India (I don't think I played past that point though... my save got corrupted then, and I didn't feel like getting all my work back)

Onett is in Eagleland - Jeff is from Winters.

Here is a map of the world, actually: http://starmen.net/merchandise/images/mother2_5.jpg

Very cool - I didn't know about that workaround. What does control F5 do?

Hard refresh. Which means it ignores your cache, and redownloads everything.

I've heard that it also signals an ISP's proxy cache and DNS to refresh.

I'm not pretty sure about that, as I remember where there was DNS troubles in a website I used to visit, once thy were fixed, I still had issues, because my stupid ISP never refreshed the domains, and ctrl+f5 didn't do crap.
