How would you guys feel about moving the documentation to BountySource? We are moving ZSNES there soon.

Uh...

I looked at it for a few minutes.

If and when ZSNES is set up there, I will think about moving it there.

I'm no dev, much less a doc man, but..

As long as bountysource doesn't have all the problems sourceforge has, I see no problem with the move.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

What problems, in particular? I haven't had any problems working on the docs on SF.

The docs use SVN, not CVS.

The whole documentation is not a signficant thing compared to the program...

However, this move is relatively amusing because I know you'll love to put a $$$ figure to say a 96000Hz option

Though, really.. you can't make money off of documentation... or can you...

Since we're on the subject of moving...

maybe it would be possible to give the doc team limited access to ZSNES SVN, instead of registering an entire new project for the docs? Is that even possible?

I've requested from the BountySource devs to do such. They said they'll be adding such SVN permission features in the next month or so.

Hey devs, what's the status of this? Despite Pagefault's and others' desires for the docs to move to a Wiki, they haven't. I'm not really entirely sure why, but at the very least, it seems we documenters would rather just edit some HTML.

Anyway, was there an interest in re-integrating the official docs with the ZSNES source tree on the BountySource SVN repository?

I spoke to the Bounty Source devs, they told me they just started getting in the frame work for the permissions system. So I'm thinking it's going to be a while till we can move over. But yes, I would like them in one tree.

Ok, well I think we're all fine to keep using the SourceForge SVN until BountySource is ready.

There will be a slight problem when the docs move to BountySource: the docs will no longer have a website at SourceForge. The About box in ZSNES will either need to be removed or updated should we find a new site.

That's an easy change. Making sure the BS site has this up+running is more important.

We don't neccesarily have to move the page. I personally just want everything in one tree. For the time being, I still plan on hosting upcoming ZSNES releases on SF.

May I ask why you are using SF or any other site then your own?

I find it more professional when designers use there site wisely :S. If its because of hosting problems, why not tell the public so they could help out and advance the site?

Why would this matter?

Does this affect the end product?

Does it somehow slow down development?

There are priorities greater than "website integration".

True, getting the program more advanced and fixed in the Netplay is more important, but it was a simple question, so forget about it :S.
