It's nice when you provide 0 info as to what port, and hardware you have.VietBitter wrote:When i enable it, the colors are all messed up, every other filter works with no problems
I'm still willing to bet you're using an integrated video card (most likely Intel).
I wouldn't be surprised if the drivers were responsible... it happens.HERZOG wrote:Off topic? : The same thing happened to me a few years back when taking screenshots. A GFX driver update fixed it, but I am sure that your drivers are up to date. It was the reason I joined this board, as a matter of fact. Delete this post if it begins to derail the thread or somesuch.

Happened to me with my old ATI Rage Pro 2. I think the card was in 555 mode, and ZSNES used 565.
Try installing the latest drivers.
Maybe there are some "third-party" tools that can tweak hidden settings.

Possible Future FAQ Question wrote:Q: I'm using an integrated video card... why do some of the filters look odd?
A: All integrated video cards are Communist. Your reluctance to fork over money for a real video card has started a second wave of Communist treachery in your country. Now you will die. If not, your PC will explode.

And Deathlike you forgot to mention that in (almost all) cases, boards with integrated gfx don't have an AGP/PCI-E X16 slot...

In the early days, this was true. Now, this is just not the case.adventure_of_link wrote:And Deathlike you forgot to mention that in (almost all) cases, boards with integrated gfx don't have an AGP/PCI-E X16 slot...

I got my HP desktop back in Thanksgiving 2003. It has no agp or pci-e x16 slot.

If worse comes to worse, you have a choice between a NVidia Geforce FX 5500 PCI or an ATI Radeon 9200 PCI... choice is really a tossup, but I probably will give it to the FX since it will get updates (well, it won't benefit this product too much), unlike the Radeon 9200 PCI (anything based off the R200 is not be supported anymore). Then again, if you want good OpenGL support in Linux, NVidia is the winnar.adventure_of_link wrote:OK then:

You can't base a generalization of most based off of one machine.adventure_of_link wrote: I got my HP desktop back in Thanksgiving 2003. It has no agp or pci-e x16 slot.

Well, that motherboard was in-stock when I last checked it. And why would it matter if it's a non-Intel board with a PCI-E slot?adventure_of_link wrote:suggessting non-intel and out of stock mobo's doesn't helpsnkcube wrote:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128010adventure_of_link wrote:OK then:

Well, I specifically mentioned my mobo doesn't have an AGP/PCI-E X16 slot.. also the processor in mine is a Socket 470 Intel Celeron.
