Get Zsnes. Go to a rom site (there are lots on t3h interw3bs, google helps), look under any snes section, there should be a list of games for download. Pick the ones you like, download mercilessly.

Once you acquired what you want, put them on the same directory than your Zsnes. Run Zsnes, select load, and then all your roms should show up. Pick the one you like, and bam!, start playing.

You might want to read the zsnes documentation for informaton concerning the controller/gamepad settings and the like.

Also, most roms you get from the internet are already compressed in a .zip file and don't need to get extracted. Common file names for the rom files (which are the games) are .smc, .swc, .fig, .bin, etc. Please note that if the file is compressed within a .rar or .7z file, they DO need to be extracted before playing.

Most likely I sound like a cold-hearted bastard when I say this, but if you are unfamiliar with the very basic concept of how to work with different files, compressed archives and directories/folders, you're not ready to tackle emulation.

Learn the basics first, then ask about emulation.

sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

I think you need to learn more about computers before you start trying to use emulators. It's not all that easy.

ZSNES is an emulator of a Super Nintendo. You have to put a cartridge into a Super Nintendo in order to play the game. Similarly, you need to load a ROM into ZSNES in order to play the game.

A ROM is a computer file which is (supposed to be) an exact copy of the data that is on a Super Nintendo cartridge. Someone created that ROM file by using a special device that connects an SNES cartridge to a computer.

The legal way to get ROMs is to use one of these special devices to copy the ROM data from a cartridge you already own to your computer. Then play it on an emulator. You can buy one of these special devices from http://www.tototek.com/.

If most or all of what I've just told you seems way over your head, you should probably just stick to using a REAL Super Nintendo. It's much easier. I'm sure you can find a Super Nintendo and lots of games for it on eBay.

Also read the redme file contained with the emulator and just in case don't ask for where to find ROMs because that's against our rules.
Yes I know that my grammar sucks!
