Feature Requests: internal gfx pack support

Post by Schnuffelduffel »

hello

snes9x dosen't need external gfx packs for S-DD1 games
( star ocean and street fighter alpha 2 )

are there plans for zsnes to use an internal solution like snes9x does,
so that gfx packs are no longer needed ??

and an internal solution for SPC7110games would also be very good

btw : snes9x has basic DSP-4 support for top gear 3000
i hope zsnes will support top gear 3000 in the next release too.

currently i use snes9x because it supports playing s-dd1 games without gfx packs and it hasn't the transparency bug which i described in another post. but zsnes has better sound, so i'll switch back to zsnes when it will play s-dd1 games without gfx packs, has dsp-4 support and when the transparency bug in super punch out is fixed :-)

The S-DD1 support in Zsnes is planned for the next official release.
Everything I say is a lie.

I really wouldn't keep my hopes up for DSP-4, but who knows, Nach and pf might prove otherwise.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

SPC7110 is a while off yet since the chip is still uncracked, but since there has been excellent progress on the other chips, attention will no doubt turn to this chip.

What does the SPC7110 do exactly? I know it handles the compressed graphics in the carts that it's installed in, but isn't there something else it does?

That's great news. Looks like gfx packs for any chip will be a thing of the past!
